It’s finally Friday!
Let’s celebrate. It’s been a fast and furious week for me. I had a quick overnight trip to L.A. for work and I’ve been playing catch-up ever since. But I managed to squeeze in a little fun on my trip and caught up with one of my favorite ladies over a delicious meal at the hip and trendy Baltaire in Brentwood (who’s been there? You absolutely must try it the next time you’re in the area.)
Nevertheless, I’m so ready for a cocktail this evening. And I have the perfect thing for us to kick this weekend off on the right foot – Raspberry-Mint Gin Smash, anyone? This cocktail is so refreshing and tasty you’re going to want to add it to your standard rotation of drinks that can be made for any occasion. Happy hour? You’ve got it made. Sunday brunch? Why of course. There’s really no time that this drink won’t be a welcome addition to your menu.
I’ve been really into “smashes” lately (like this one that I couldn’t really call a “smash.”) There’s something about muddling together a slew of fresh ingredients and then turning them into a cocktail that just gets me every time. Herbs, fresh fruit, no artificial sweeteners and lots of flavor. We can’t lose!
For this Raspberry-Mint Gin Smash, the name really says it all. The only secret ingredient here (that isn’t fairly obvious) is a little hint of rose water. I have to say, this is the first time I’ve been brave enough to use rose water in a cocktail, and I love, love, love it! Especially with the Raspberry-Mint-Gin combination, it just adds the perfect floral quality to balance out the drink.
So, without further ado, I leave you with the recipe. Super simple, super tasty, you know you want it!

Yes! I have some rosewater that I don’t really know what to do with, and this is so the thing I need to make. Plus, who doesn’t love gin? Pinned!
