“Our” French 75

An easy, refreshing recipe for the classic French 75 - a sparkling wine based cocktail.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ ounces gin
  • ¼ ounce lemon juice
  • ½ ounce simple syrup
  • Top with sparkling wine

Instructions

  • In a cocktail shaker filled halfway with ice, add gin, lemon juice and simple syrup.
  • Shake for 30 seconds, then strain into a champagne flute.
  • Top with sparkling wine.

Notes

  1. To make your own simple syrup, bring 1 cup water and 1 cup sugar to a boil in a small saucepan. Reduce to a simmer and let reduce by half, or until syrupy. Let cool before using.
