Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh rosemary
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • Sea salt, for topping

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Whisk together flour and salt in a medium bowl, then stir in the remaining ingredients to form a somewhat crumbly dough.
  • Using your hands, mold the dough into a thick square or rectangle.
  • Sandwiching the dough between two pieces of parchment, use a rolling pin to roll it out as thin as possible, keeping it in as much of a rectangle or square as possible.
  • Once you have your dough as thin as you can get it, remove the top piece of parchment paper and cut the dough into the desired shapes. (I cut mine into small rectangles.)
  • Place cut cracker dough on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in 400 degree oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges of the crackers take on a golden brown color. Remove from oven and let cool completely before serving. Best if served the day they are baked.
